        This series examines the phenomenon of "boosting" in graffiti culture, which involves the concealed theft of items from major department stores. Boosting is seen as a way to gain respect amongst peers, and oftentimes, these items are given away as gifts within the culture. The works in this series explore the concept of boosting, highlighting the narrative of security evasion, the thrill of the theft, and the sacredness of the objects depicted. The works delve into the narrative of evading security, disabling safety devices, and discarding stolen items in a dumpster. Through illustrations, the audience is given a glimpse into the sacredness of this world and of the practice within the culture. The artwork touches on the idea of breaking rules in order to gain acceptance. It also examines the idea of value, and how boosting can give a sense of purpose to those who are struggling to find their place in society.
